Ceiling fan convectors for boiler and heat pump systems
Belgravia Tilevector Fan Convectors are LTHW heaters that sit in the ceiling in place of one or two ceiling tiles, keeping walls and floors clear. EC fans blow warm air from a hot water coil down into the room. The range has four models in two sizes: the Tilevector Solo and Tilevector Duo for traditional boiler water temperatures, and the Tilevector Solo Plus and Tilevector Duo Plus for heat pumps and condensing boilers.
Manufactured in Leicester by S & P Coil Products Limited, Belgravia Tilevector Fan Convectors are specified for schools, offices, libraries, leisure centres and other commercial and public buildings with suspended or plasterboard ceilings.

What are Belgravia Tilevector Fan Convectors?
Belgravia Tilevector Fan Convectors are ceiling-mounted, fan-assisted heaters for LTHW (low temperature hot water) systems. A fan draws room air up through the hinged eggcrate grille, across a coil heat exchanger made by SPC fed with hot water, and blows warm air back down into the room. Fan speed and the hot water flow can both be controlled, so the Belgravia Tilevector responds quickly when a room needs heat.
The Belgravia Tilevector replaces standard ceiling tiles in a T-bar grid, so walls stay free for windows, storage, whiteboards and displays. It can also be fitted in a plasterboard ceiling or hung below a solid ceiling. For the whole range of SPC fan convectors, see Belgravia Fan Convectors.

Which ceilings can a Belgravia Tilevector fit?
Every Belgravia Tilevector model fits T-bar suspended ceiling grids and plasterboard ceilings, and can also hang free below a solid ceiling.
- The grille sits inside the T-bars, in place of one or two 600 mm tiles
- Plasterboard apertures of 575 x 575 mm (Solo models) and 1175 x 575 mm (Duo models)
- Fixed to the load-bearing soffit, at least 1.8 m and at most 3 m above the floor (recommended)
Can ceiling fan convectors work with heat pumps?
Yes. Choose the Tilevector Solo Plus or Tilevector Duo Plus, developed for the lower water temperatures from heat pumps and condensing boilers.
- Outputs published down to 45/35°C
- Same 595 mm face sizes as the Tilevector Solo and Duo
- Use remote thermostats, SPC Modulo or BMS control with weather-compensated systems
Which Belgravia Tilevector model do I need?
Choose by the water temperature of the system and the ceiling space in each room.
- Traditional boiler systems (such as 80/70°C): Tilevector Solo or Duo
- Heat pumps and condensing boilers: Tilevector Solo Plus or Duo Plus
- Solo models take one ceiling tile, Duo models take two

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, in practice. LTHW (low temperature hot water) and LPHW (low pressure hot water) are both used in the UK to describe the hot water heating circuits that fan convectors run on. Belgravia Tilevector Fan Convectors run on these systems: the Tilevector Solo and Duo suit traditional boiler water temperatures, and the Tilevector Solo Plus and Duo Plus suit the lower water temperatures from heat pumps and condensing boilers.
Choose by ceiling space and water temperature. Solo models take the space of one 600 x 600 mm ceiling tile and Duo models take two. The Tilevector Solo and Duo (210 mm deep) suit traditional boiler water temperatures such as 80/70°C. The Tilevector Solo Plus and Duo Plus (260 mm deep) suit the lower water temperatures from heat pumps and condensing boilers. Our team can select the model and number of units for each room.
With a Tilevector Solo Plus or Tilevector Duo Plus on a weather-compensated heat pump system, choose a remote thermostat, SPC Modulo or BMS control. Low water temperature fan cut-outs (LTC and ALTC) are for boiler systems and are not suitable for weather-compensated heat pump systems.
A ceiling-mounted unit suits rooms with a suspended or plasterboard ceiling where the walls are needed for windows, doors, storage, whiteboards or displays. Classrooms, offices, meeting rooms, libraries and reception areas are common examples. For floor or wall mounting, see Belgravia Classic Fan Convectors and Belgravia Supreme Fan Convectors.
The unit is hung from the load-bearing soffit by rod or wire through the four holes in its top flanges, never resting on the ceiling grid alone. The grille sits inside the T-bars and the unit height is adjusted to suit. Flow and return connections are shown in the IOM for each model. Full instructions are in the Tilevector and Tilevector Plus IOMs in the downloads below.
Isolate the power, then open the hinged grille for access. Clean the air filter regularly to keep the airflow and output up, and clean the coil with a brush or vacuum cleaner from time to time. For Tilevector Plus units, we recommend vacuuming the inside at least every three months, depending on how dusty the room is.
Yes. Two BMS options are available. BMS1 is a relay for a remote enable/disable signal, and BMS2 gives on/off and fan speed control from a 0-10V signal. Units can also be controlled by remote thermostats, switches or the SPC Modulo and SPC Vision controllers.
BIM objects for the Tilevector Solo and Tilevector Duo are available from SPC on bimstore. For the Tilevector Solo Plus and Duo Plus, which share the same face size but are 260 mm deep, use the dimensions in the Tilevector Plus IOM in the downloads below, or ask our team.
