Technical & Development

As SPC’s Technical Applications & Service Engineer, Kevin plays a key role in bringing technical expertise together across the business. His work covers research, design, and product development, along with creating wiring diagrams and delivering on-site service and technical support.

He also assists with coil order processing, customer training, and provides technical backup to both our production and sales teams. By working closely with colleagues across departments, Kevin helps ensure projects run smoothly and customers receive the support they need.

Kevin says:

Aboo has joined us as a Design and Development Engineer, where he will be working with our Sales, Technical and Production departments to drive forward new products and processes.

Aboo graduated from Loughborough University with a BEng in Mechanical Engineering. He has worked in several roles and has gained a lot of experience designing with sheet metal. Aboo’s previous role was as a CAD designer and Estimator for a sheet metal supplier.

Outside of work, Aboo enjoys watching football. Being born in Portugal, Aboo likes to go back regularly to watch his team play – Sporting Clube de Portugal. Travelling is also one of Aboo’s passions. He aims to travel to 30 different countries by the age of 30!

As SPC’s Development Engineer, Shaffiq is responsible for the technical support of products to customers and SPC’s sales & service departments.

Before joining SPC in 2018, Shaffiq graduated with a Masters in Mechanical Engineering.

In his spare time, Shaffiq loves playing football around 2/3 times a week and enjoys travelling with at least one or two trips per year.

Richard is SPC’s Technical Manager, providing sales and production support and heading the design team.

Richard has worked at SPC for over 35 years and has overseen the development and introduction of new products and solutions in both the UK and the Middle East. Richard is educated to a degree level with a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Leicester.

Richard is a keen sports fan but more on the spectating than participating side these days.
