The SPC Delta Controller operates in conjunction with a two-port valve and modulating actuator to vary the hot water flow rate in response to sensed temperature changes. The control is proportional, modulating the valve from fully open to fully closed as the sensed temperature increases through the proportional band. This ensures that heat output closely matches instantaneous heat loss, maximising both energy efficiency and comfort.

In addition to the 0-10V proportional signal, the controller also incorporates volt-free on/off terminals which switch at the setpoint, enabling or disabling the heating unit as needed.
