The Ashley Centre, Epsom, sought to improve indoor comfort, prevent drafts, and maintain consistent temperatures at its main entrances. Additionally, they aimed to minimise pollutant ingress and conditioned air loss while implementing an energy-efficient solution.
To address these challenges, concealed AIRDOR Forcefield Electric Air Curtains with plasterboard room inlets were manufactured and supplied by SPC. The unit sizes were a mix of 1m, 1.5m, and 2m lengths, strategically positioned to create effective air barriers at all entrances. This combined approach delivers:
- Improved Indoor Comfort: Air curtains prevent drafts and maintain consistent temperatures, creating a pleasant environment for staff and visitors.
- Enhanced Energy Efficiency: The air barrier effect reduces conditioned air loss, leading to lower energy consumption and operational costs.
- Reduced Pollutant Ingress: Air curtains help prevent dust, fumes, and other airborne pollutants from entering the shopping centre.
- Discreet Aesthetics: Concealed Forcefield Air Curtains integrate seamlessly with The Ashley Centre’s interior design.
