Newport Central Library required modern, energy-efficient heating equipment for its third-floor spaces as part of an internal refurbishment project. SPC worked with Newport Norse Ltd to supply a tailored heating package featuring Belgravia Supreme Fan Convectors and Tilevector Solo units, delivering reliable comfort across the library’s public areas and back office.
Newport Norse Ltd, the facilities management provider for Newport City Council, managed the project with heating equipment specified to provide efficient, controllable heating across multiple zones within the library building.
SPC's Solution
Following an initial site meeting, SPC’s South West Area Sales Manager, Chris Ward, worked with Gary Moore at Newport Norse to specify Fan Convectors suited to the library’s layout and operational requirements. The solution combined wall-mounted and ceiling-mounted units, all featuring energy-saving ECM motors and the Modulo controller for precise temperature management.
The specification was refined during the project development, with two Tilevector Solo units added to serve the back office area. Chris Ward attended the site during installation to support the contractor and document the wall-mounted fan convectors being fitted.
