Built-in 1850 and located in the heart of the city, the Midland Goods Shed started life as a temporary passenger terminal while King’s Cross station was being built. Since then, the Grade II Listed building has been sympathetically restored and converted into an events, cultural and office space.
SPC was approached by Phillips Page Associates (PPA), to provide trench heating to reduce glazing losses and enhance comfort. Due to the shape of the entranceway, cornered angles were required for the trench to fit seamlessly below the glass.
Derek Watts, Director for PPA added;
“We have an excellent working relationship with SPC built around quality and trust. I know how flexible they are as manufacturers and that they would be able to offer the angled corner option that we needed on this project. We knew Metropolitan trench heaters would be perfect for the job”
