Liskeard Library, built in 1896, is an original John Passmore Edwards Library. These libraries, named after a Victorian philanthropist, were designed to provide public access to knowledge and learning for all.

The Liskeard Library recently underwent refurbishment work which included the need for a modern and efficient heating solution to create a comfortable and welcoming environment for visitors and staff.

SPC Thermatile free-hanging radiant panels were installed throughout, providing even and pleasant warmth throughout the library space.

Our radiant panel range offers:

• Improved Thermal Comfort: Radiant panels deliver a more natural and comfortable warmth compared to traditional heating systems, eliminating drafts and cold spots.
• Increased Energy Efficiency: These panels are highly efficient, converting most of the consumed energy into heat, leading to lower energy bills for the library.
• Enhanced Air Quality: Unlike forced air systems, radiant panels don’t circulate dust, resulting in improved air quality, particularly beneficial for allergy sufferers.

The library staff are already impressed with the new system, praising its comfortable and effective heating.
