Gearies Primary School has a new modern three-storey teaching block made up of classrooms, group rooms and a multi-use hall. The school is in Ilford London, part of the London Borough of Redbridge.

Built as a design and build project by main contractors Engie, the mechanical services were designed by Ingleton Wood and installed by Celo Services.

SPC Thermatile TEN-TWELVE free-hanging radiant panels have been installed in most areas to provide comfortable unobtrusive heat.

Designers at Ingleton Wood opted for a mix of ceiling finishes that include exposed, plasterboard and T-bar ceilings.

SPC’s free-hanging Thermatile TEN-TWELVE radiant panels have a new rigid aluminium side profile. The panels’ flat white architectural finish blends in well with lighting and other exposed services.

Complementing the free-hanging panels, the Thermatile TEN-TWELVE plasterboard radiant panel finishes flush with the ceiling providing a neatly concealed heat source. 

With standard panels available from stock, SPC’s Thermatile TEN-TWELVE radiant panels free up important wall space allowing teachers to maximize learning opportunities within the new block. This valuable extension will allow a further 200 pupils to be welcomed to the school.
